Santa Rosa structure fire causes $50K in damages

(BCN) -- Firefighters in Santa Rosa on Thursday responded to a structure fire. The Santa Rosa Fire Department responded at 5:37 a.m. to a report of a structure fire at 815 Leo Drive. Responding firefighters found a detached outbuilding engulfed in flames and with flames spreading up a redwood grove and threatening a nearby house and additional outbuildings. Police looking for alleged serial arsonist in Gilroy Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes and remained at the scene for about two hours to fully extinguish the blaze. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals recently voted not to rehear a case that ruled cities and towns have no right to remove unhoused people from the streets. There is an estimated 38,000 unhoused people in the Bay Area, a number that has increased since 2019. (KDVR) -- A $4,000 reward is being offered after the murder of a 13-year-old boy in Aurora earlier this year.Phoenix Day was shot and killed in the parking lot at the Town Center at Aurora mall on March 26. Police catch 18-year-old driving 108 mph near Boulder Investigators said they have spoken to some witnesses, but believe there were other people in the area who saw what happened and haven't come forward yet.Phoenix had moved from Arizona to live with his mother and her husband shortly before he was killed.
