JJ Bleday, the former No. 4 overall draft pick the A’s acquired from the Miami Marlins for left-hander A.J. Puck in February, was promoted from Triple-A Las Vegas and Oakland isn’t wasting any time getting the power-hitting outfielder into the mix.Bleday will bat fifth and play left field against the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night at the Coliseum as the A’s look to bounce back after seeing Mason Miller’s seven innings of no-hit ball squandered in a 2-1 loss to the Mariners. The A’s are 6-24 and have been outscored by 118 runs (The Royals are distant second with a run differential of minus-68) and Bleday looks like he could provide a much-needed spark in the middle of the lineup. The 25-year-old Bleday, who made his big league debut last season with the Marlins, got a long look in spring training and has been one of the Aviators’ most productive hitters. He posted a .316/.429/.643 slash line with seven home runs, and arrives on a major hot steak. Bleday hit...Oakland’s fire chief retires after nearly two-year tenure
