The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) report states that a tenant of the building had approached the teenager and his friends to complain about their behaviour, as they had been drinking and “causing a disturbance.” The report goes on to mention that the 15-year-old returned to his apartment and retrieved a knife, “determined to confront the individual.”“The complainant arrived at the front of an apartment, where he mistakenly believed the individual lived, and started banging and kicking at the door, intermittently slashing and stabbing it with the knife,” wrote SIU Director Joseph ...Holiday events taking place across Chicagoland

The Twins tendered contracts to all of their major league arbitration-eligible players ahead of Friday’s 7 p.m. deadline, notably retaining infielder Kyle Farmer, the biggest question mark of the bunch. While some of the decisions weren’t much of decisions at all — as with Alex Kirilloff and Ryan Jeffers — there were some questions around other players, particularly Farmer. In the end, every player that was on the major league roster — Kirilloff, Jeffers, Farmer, Caleb Thielbar, Willi Castro, Nick Gordon and Jorge Alcala — were retained while the Twins opted to non-tender minor league relievers Jovani Moran, who is set to undergo Tommy John surgery, and Ronny Henriquez. The Twins could re-sign both to minor league deals. The Twins have been highly complimentary of Farmer — both because of his play on the field and his presence in the clubhouse — since he arrived in Minnesota last year. But he’s due a projected $6.6 million in arbitration, per MLB Trade Rumors, which lent to the though...Nonprofits awarded during annual luncheon

Saturday afternoon at Canvas Stadium, Colorado State will honor 10 seniors before their final home game in green and gold. Only one of them has spent his entire college career at CSU.In the changing landscape of college football, where players transfer in and out of programs, defensive lineman Mohamed Kamara has held his ground in Fort Collins. He stayed at CSU for his final season mainly because he wanted to graduate. But on the football field, he has been on a year-long pursuit of records.CSU head coach Jay Norvell only got to coach Kamara for two seasons, but he remembers having to game-plan against him as the coach at Nevada.“One thing about Mo Kamara is he’s just a relentless player and that’s what makes him such a good pass rusher,” Norvell said. “I think they could call the O-line for holding a half dozen times every game. They have to hold him to stop him from getting to the quarterback.“That’s what I saw on film. And then when I got here and met him, I could relate to him. I...Latest news
