Tyler Herro couldn’t believe it in the moment Sunday, still couldn’t believe it at Tuesday’s practice, and said he probably won’t come to complete grips of being sidelined with a broken right hand until his Miami Heat tip off Game 2 of their Eastern Conference opening-round NBA playoff series Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.“Obviously being at home and being in the playoffs, you work so hard all year to be in this moment, where I feel like I had some things to prove this postseason,” Herro, a native of the Milwaukee area, said as teammates completed Tuesday’s practice at Fiserv Forum. “So it was a tough moment. I still can’t believe it.“It’ll probably sink in [Wednesday] night, when I can’t suit up. It’s my first time breaking a bone, and unfortunate timing.”Injured diving for a loose ball near the end of the first half of the Heat’s 130-117 Sunday victory in Game 1, Herro described...Guregian: Patriots OC Bill O’Brien hopes to purge last year from the system

FOXBORO — Bill O’Brien’s mission might prove to be impossible. But he’s smart enough to know that Step 1 of recovering from last season’s debacle, and getting Mac Jones and the offense back to some level of competency is to erase last season from their memory banks.Just purge it out of their system.O’Brien, speaking with the media Tuesday for the first time since coming aboard as the team’s offensive coordinator, said his theme for the players on offense was simply this: “to move forward.”O’Brien must have uttered the words “fresh start” and “clean slate” a dozen times while answering questions during his session with the media. He gets it.He knows he has to cleanse Jones and the rest from the offensive purgatory they endured last season, with two inexperienced coaches at the helm.He knows he has to get Matt Patricia and Joe Judge out of their system, to give himself the best chance of succeeding, and moving forward with his new plan and a system he believes will benefit everyone.O’Br...Abandoned puppy has police seeking public’s help

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AP) — Fighting raged in Sudan on Tuesday hours after an internationally brokered truce was supposed to have come into effect, as forces loyal to dueling generals battled for key locations in the capital and accused each other of violating the cease-fire.The truce was the culmination of days of intense pressure by top diplomats on four continents and had raised hopes of sparing Africa’s third largest country from civil war. But each side still appeared determined to vanquish the other, despite the suffering of millions of civilians trapped by the fighting.Residents said they still heard gunfire and explosions in different parts of the capital, Khartoum, particularly around the military’s headquarters and the Republican Palace. They said few people had ventured out, though there were crowds outside some bakeries.“The fighting remains underway,” Atiya Abdulla Atiya of the Sudan Doctors’ Syndicate told The Associated Press. “We are hearing constant gunfire.”Millio...Blue Jays announce new Rogers Centre upgrades for 2024 season. Paula Simons said she would really like to see Bill C-11 “done and dusted” this week, and not because she wants to ram it through. “For all the cynicism about the Senate, I think the Senate showed its merits with this bill,” Simons said in a recent interview. “And I think we did a really good job of debating and discussing it.”Last month, the House of Commons adopted most of the Senate’s amendments, which included measures to highlight the promotion of Indigenous languages and Black content creators and a change that sought to “reaffirm” the independence and freedom of expression of creators.
